The Medical Division's mission is to supply the fire district with lifesaving first response medical care to supplement the areas existing resources. All full-time personnel at the fire department are First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, or Paramedics. MCFR became one of the first licensed First Responder Services in the CSRA in November of 2001.

Full-time CPR and First Responder Instructors on staff
In coordination with American Heart Association and Columbia County EMA, have urged local businesses and government to place AEDs in their buildings. Over 100 have been implemented so far.
Full-time EMT Instructor on staff.
Goals
Place AEDs in all emergency vehicles and in local businesses
Incorporate newest technology and medical advancements into training and practice.
Continue first response training with volunteers and the public.
Strive to increase public awareness of medical issues and warning signs to conditions such as stroke and heart attack.
